May is here! Before we celebrate longer, warmer days and the unofficial start of summer, let's take a look back at April 2022…
We unveiled brand new tees featuring a custom illustration of native flora and fauna by local artist Carissa Grace. Winners of our Earth Month Community Cleanup Challenge were the first to receive these new t-shirts, but stay tuned to learn how you can receive one later this month!
UF received a generous $23,000 gift, the result of the Fairway Subaru Share the Love event this past holiday season. We are blown away by the generosity of Fairway Subaru staff and customers!
Nearly 40 Greenvillians joined UF staff and experts from Pecan PR for Advocacy Training 101: GVL Smart Growth, a free workshop on land use planning advocacy in Greenville.
Volunteers removed 27 bags of trash, 16 tires, a mattress, toilet, sink, and more from the Long Branch Mitigation Site, a property near downtown Greenville protected by Naturaland Trust and UF.
Our Land Conservation team celebrated the protection of Gobblers Roost, a 1,020-acre timber and hunting property in Laurens and Newberry Counties.
Clean Water team members Katie and Rebecca shared photos from their “windshield tour” of the Twelvemile Creek watershed, part of the initial stages of Watershed-Based Plan development for the area.
We worked with Electric Soul on video interviews with the 2022 ForeverGreen Award recipients. Join us on Monday, June 13 for the premiere of these videos at our annual awards luncheon. More info and tickets available at forevergreen22.eventbrite.com.
Earth Day converged with "Spartanburg’s Fastest Night!" Our team had a blast tailgating at the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Criterium hosted by PAL: Play Advocate Live Well.
Our Energy & State Policy team joined South Carolina Conservation Coalition members and advocates from across the state for Conservation Lobby Day at the Statehouse! Taking place in person for the first time in several years, this event helps to solidify support through the statehouse for conservation and maintaining healthy communities through responsible economic growth.
Liability Brewing Co. hosted our team for trivia night and generously supported our mission by donating a portion of sales of their Monsieur le Maire golden ale all month long!
And, of course, dozens of folks from across the Upstate shared their photos from our Earth Month Community Cleanup Challenge!
