Join Upstate Forever, TreesUpstate, and Conestee Foundation for a morning of cleaning up and removing invasive plant species from Greenville's Lake Conestee Nature Park. Volunteers will learn about the basic biology of these plants and why they are threatening the natural resilience of ecosystems.
Participants are welcome to bring shears, shovels, and gloves, though some tools will be provided by TreesUpstate. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes to work in, and bring a water bottle, sunblock, and other desired supplies.
A water cooler and light snacks will also be provided.
