Upstate Forever is pleased to announce that the acclaimed writer Ron Rash has joined its Advisory Council.
Described by The New York Times as “one of the great American authors at work today,” Rash has written 20 books, including Serena, One Foot in Eden, Saints at the River, and most recently, The Caretaker. He is also the author of five collections of poems and seven collections of stories.
Many of Rash’s writings have environmental themes, reflecting his own personal commitment to the protection of our natural resources.
Rash, who now lives in Clemson, said, “I’m a huge fan of Upstate Forever, and it’s a great honor to serve on their Advisory Council. With the rapid growth and development that the region is experiencing, never has Upstate Forever’s work been more important.”
