December 5th, 2024
By Sherry Barrett
We are glad to share that Greenville County Council adopted the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) in a 7-5 vote at 3rd reading on Tuesday, December 3. This milestone represents a huge step in the right direction for Greenville County!
When the UDO takes effect on December 23, 2024, Greenville County's natural resources will be better protected and growth will be better managed. The UDO is, and will continue to be, a living document. Staff, advocates, citizens, and appointed & elected officials will be closely monitoring its efficacy, and Council can make adjustments as needed. Indeed, we plan to release UF's 2025 local advocacy priorities early next year!
