Upstate Forever Staff

Steely Parrott joined Upstate Forever in April 2023. Born and raised in Albemarle, North Carolina, she graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Geology. Before moving to Spartanburg, she worked for a land trust in North Carolina for more than five years where she held a variety of positions and developed a passion for protecting land and waterways. Steely is excited to continue her career in land conservation by serving as Land Protection Coordinator for Upstate Forever.
 
In her free time, Steely enjoys all things outdoors — from hiking and gardening to hunting and fishing. She’s excited to find new places to explore in Upstate SC!
